I loathe the "content" aspect. Nowadays many of the users do not have much other connection with fandom. We used to talk in forums, LJ, etc., and while some of us are still there, the younger fans (not age, just relatively newness) don't interact that way much. Easy to forget fellow humans are creating those fanworks when it just shows up as content for the user, which also makes it easier to attack writers and artists with the "right language". They aren't people, they're content creators.
