Spoilers: I watched it with my BFF and her mom and sister, who are also way into the show. I'd never watched it in a group setting before and it was so fun! We all gasped and applauded when we thought Jay could see Pete, and then gasped and groaned again when it turned out that, no, he couldn't. Ghosts, how COULD you? SO CRUEL, JOES! SO, SO CRUEL!
I enjoyed Sam and Jay standing up for each other's literal asses.
Also, poor Hetty, omg. Good little moment setting the stage for her arc this season.
THOR HAVING HIS FEELINGS HURT HURTS ME SO MUCH. WHY IS THIS VIOLENT MURDERER SO CUDDLY AND CUTE. I LOVE HIM.
Omg, Nigel bopping his head along to the Spice Girls. Thor and Nigel having weird BFF bonding over their love of watching ants! Beautiful. It makes sense, Nigel's been stuck (by choice?) in the shed, Thor was alone for so long, they would learn to be entertained by ants. The fact that they still like it when given other options is weird and cute.
Kind of surprised they didn't have Trevor walk through the room and casually fact-check How About Those '90s? but then of course I always want more Trevor.
About what's been teased about Hetty's future arc: So it sounds like Hetty's going to learn to masturbate by sitting on the washing machine while it's running? Because what they've teased in various places for that ep has been "Flower guides Hetty through a sexual awakening" and "Hetty develops an unusual relationship with the house's washing machine". And someone on Prime Timer said that in Ghosts UK, Hetty's analogue, Fanny, develops "an unusual relationship" with the lower half of Humphrey Bone (the Crash analogue). And it makes sense because, I mean, Hetty was probably conditioned by society never to masturbate while she was alive, they're ghosts now and can't pick up vibrators, but they can, for whatever reason, sit on things, so... bada bing. I hope she and the washing machine fall in love and have a tumultuous relationship and eventually get married.
Except Sass said the ghosts can have sex but they can't "finish" aka orgasm. So does that mean:
1. Sass was lying/trolling (as theorized by a buddy of mine a long time ago)?
2. Sass can't come for some reason and is projecting that on everybody else?
3. Only the women ghosts can come?
4. Hetty's ghost power is having orgasms?
