CBS Ghosts 2x11 & 12 - "The Perfect Assistant" & "The Family Business"
I've been too exhausted to post about the show here, I mainly chat about it on the 18+ CBSG Discord server. But here's a bunch of quick disorganized thoughts about both episodes, long after I've watched them:
horny spoilers incoming:
- Jessica's actress is very charismatic and funny and pretty!
- I sort of felt like the show was taking drunk driving too lightly? Like "LOL she got buzzed and got herself killed, whatcha gonna do?" At the same time, if I were the writer of the ep, I would argue that having her be literally dead and having a piece of glass sticking out of her forehead shows exactly how serious the consequences are.
However, since the ghosts are not "dead" to us, the audience, but beings that get to exist and talk and think, albeit with many, many more limitations upon them, and because it's a comedy... and also because I didn't find her wound super gory... although I am a horror fan so my gory-o-meter is probably wayyyy different than an average viewer's...
Anyway, I asked an IRL watcher of the show if they thought it was making light of drunk driving and she said exactly what I thought a writer of the show might say above: that no, she's dead, look at that glass sticking out of her forehead! For eternity! So that's good, I guess.
Also, it's nice that Sass might finally get laid for the first time in his entire existence (it really took me having the fans on Discord to point out to me that he was lying about the 43 times and that Thor was covering for him; Thor is so convincing!), and I mean, they are liar4liar. And cute together. And it's fun seeing Sass act like an angry teen.

- POOR PETE. PETE, YOU ARE SPECIAL. YOU ARE! Thor menacing him was kind of hot. POOR PETE AND HIS DADDY ISSUES. I love him.
- I really disliked 2x11 for the dumbest reason imaginable which is that I've become a rabid H-Money fka Tretty aka Trevor/Hetty shipper and like the entitled monster that canon shipping (CANON HET SHIPPING! WHO AM I? WHAT HAVE I BECOME?) inevitably turns one into, I was salivating for a continuation of their secret tryst plotline and when it didn't happen I was just totally... just blue balls, man. On a second watch, after 2x12 as a release valve, I liked this one a lot better, it was a perfectly good episode, Freddie is adorable.
- YES MORE H-MONEY PLOT LINE IN 2X12 LOL TREVOR LITERALLY HOLDING DOWN HIS BONER WHILE CALLING HETTY A TASKMASTER, ALL OUR D/s HEADCANONS ARE COMING TRUE AND IT'S AMAZING, I feel guilty saying this when there are fans of m/m non-canon ships that aren't getting their dreams aired on screen due to heterosexism! Also sorry to all those lesbian Hetty headcanon-ers, it's a great headcanon! Maybe Trevor's her one man-ception!
- Seriously, join us in the server, we have a thread that's 90% horny-posting about Hetty tying Trevor to various objects. Also Sam walking in on them and screaming. That's the other 10%.
- AAAAA I JUST WANT MORE OF THEM. I will never be satisfied. To quote the Vulture recapper talking about these two, this ship "has changed me as a person." I WROTE A/B/O FOR CHRISSAKE. FOR THE FIRST TIME.

- Like the deranged shipper I am, I thought Hetty insisting to Sam that she cannot "take an interest in this young man's life or he'll start to think you CARE about him!" was going to be about Trevor and that because there was a jam band fest going on, and Trevor & Bela both love late-'90s jam bands, that the end would be Hetty attempting to take an interest in this for Trevor because she cares about him, but none of this happened and I was merely wearing shipper goggles!
- I loved the tearful scene between Hetty & Sam working out their mom & daughter issues. Although I feel like this show could really do with an extra 5-10 minutes so that scene, and the flashback that went with it, didn't feel so squeezed. Also I just want more show.
- Lol Sam's own inner-domme coming out when she yelled at Freddie.
- Will Freddie get fired and re-hired every single episode?
- BBC Ghosts s2 spoilers: I thought the video camera thing was going to reveal that Hetty, like Fanny, can be seen on camera, but I'm glad they didn't go that way, because I don't think that power really fits Hetty. (As my H-Money shipping pals say, obviously her power should be manifesting sex toys. That she can use on Trevor. Or herself, if she so wishes.)

That is a good point about the show making light of drunk driving. I hadn’t thought about it like that before.
PETE AND HIS DADDY ISSUES!! I love it!!
I’m glad someone else felt weird about them not addressing Tretty in 2x11. It was kind of weird for them to just gloss over it in that episode and bring it up later when it literally happened in the episode prior to that.
That being said, Tretty in 2x12 was amazing! Honestly, I’ve come from NOTPing them to shipping them at least a little because their dynamic is so interesting.
I wish the episodes was a little longer because the endings always feel a little rushed to me. They work, but I wish we had a little more build up to make them seem more realistic.
Poor Freddie is literally losing his job once a week, at this point, he needs to quit.

I was wondering this too! I mean, the "You killed Kenny" was a funny running gag on South Park but I don't think this would really play the same way on this show.
What employer would not want a Freddie working for them?
